More space for a smaller budget
If you have the same ridge height with an arched roof as with a flat sloping roof, you gain extra space thanks to the round shape. That can be interesting, because in world building plots are becoming increasingly smaller. It is also possible that your local urban planning regulations impose a maximum ridge height. No disturbing noises
